
Ryan Langan Named All-American by Phil Steele

Senior named to outlet’s third team
STATESBORO - The honors and awards keep rolling in for Ryan Langan. The senior long snapper for Georgia Southern was named a third-team All-American by Phil Steele Magazine Tuesday evening, making him the first Eagle long snapper to earn A-A honors in program history. Phil Steele Magazine is a highly respected publication that extensively covers all 130 FBS programs.
Langan becomes the fifth All-American in the FBS era for the Eagles, joining Younghoe Koo who was a third-team All-American by Phil Steele in 2016, Kindle Vildor, a second-team All-American by PFF in 2018, Tyler Bass, a second-team All-American by Chris Sailer Kicking in 2018 and Raymond Johnson III, a second-team All-American by Pro Football Focus this season.
A native of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, Langan is already a finalist for the Patrick Mannelly Long Snapper of the Year Award and eFor his career, arned first-team All-Sun Belt Conference honors from Phil Steele as well.
For his career, he snapped 494 times without a bad snap and started all 51 games for his Georgia Southern career.
