STATESBORO - Phil Steele's College Football Preview has released its 2020 Preseason All-Sun Belt Team, headlined by four Eagles earning first-team honors. In total, 12 different GS players were named to the squad, including one player who was honored at three different positions. Defensive end Raymond Johnson III, linebacker Rashad Byrd, safety Kenderick Duncan Jr. and long snapper Ryan Langan were all first-team defensive selections.

Outside linebacker Randy Wade Jr. and inside linebacker Reynard Ellis were both named to the second team while offensive lineman Brian Miller, defensive lineman CJ Wright, and punter Anthony Beck II were all named to the third team. Quarterback Shai Werts and offensive lineman Aaron Dowdell were named to the fourth team.

Wesley Kennedy III was named a third-team running back on offense and was also named a third-teamer at punt returner while earning fourth-team accolades as a kickoff returner.
