GSEagles.com catches up with each position coach following the shortened spring ball
Even with spring practice being cut short, the Georgia Southern football coaching staff was able to evaluate its program through offseason lifting and conditioning, as well as six on-field practices. GSEagles.com was able to catch up with each coach via email to get their thoughts on their group, as well as a preliminary two-deep heading into the fall.
Randy Wade Jr. is a guy who has played a lot of snaps for us, but we're really excited about what he's going to do his senior season.
Who's someone who didn't see a lot of game action that has impressed you this offseason?:
Zyon McGee played in 11 games last year, but mostly on special teams but he really had a good offseason and looks to be the front runner at the Anchor spot heading into the preseason.
What will be a top priority for your group when you return to the field?:
We have to keep developing our young Anchors (Zyon McGee, Benz Josue, Reid Dedman)
What excites you about your group?:
I like our depth at both outside linebacker positions. We have good experience at the Dog position and the young Anchors are growing in knowledge each and every day.
Who is or are the vocal leader(s) in your meeting room?:
Randy Wade Jr.
Who leads more by example?:
Randy Wade Jr.
