Judson ties school record in 20-shot prone
SCORECARD
STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern rifle squad fell to No. 20 North Georgia Saturday at the Shooting Sports Education Center. The Frosh Four shot a 2,191 in smallbore and 2,284 in air rifle for a 4,475 aggregate. All three scores are significant improvements from recent matches as the team looks to peak heading into postseason.
The match was Military Appreciation Day, presented by the Georgia Army National Guard.
In smallbore, Lillian Herring led the way with a 555 to place fourth, followed by Ashley Judson (551), Gabby Morrow (549; career high) and Amelia Pierce (536). Judson tied the school record with a 197 in the 20-shot prone.
In air rifle, Judson led the way with a 583 to take first, followed by Morrow (569), Pierce (567; career high) and Herring (565).
Judson led the way with a 1,134 aggregate to place third. Herring finished with a 1,120, Morrow shot a career-high 1,118 and Pierce rounded out the scoring with a career-high 1,103.
