Friday Night Lights – 2020 Georgia Southern Spring Game set for April 3

Coach Lunsford and the Eagles will be back in Paulson Stadium this spring
STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern Athletics Department confirmed on Monday that Southern's 2020 Spring Game is set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 3 under the lights at Allen E. Paulson Stadium. Further details about the 2020 Spring Game will be announced once finalized.
Head coach Chad Lunsford is expected to return 15 of 22 offensive and defensive starters for the 2020 campaign. Georgia Southern's 2020 schedule features six home games at Allen E. Paulson Stadium, kicking off with Campbell on Sept. 12 followed by FAU on Sept. 19. The Eagles will host Sun Belt Conference foes Appalachian State, Texas State, Troy and South Alabama in 2020, and will travel to Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, Louisiana and ULM for conference play. The 2020 season begins on Sept. 5 at Boise State and also features a non-conference titl at Ole Miss on Nov. 21.
In all, the Eagles will face five teams that played in the NCAA postseason last season with three of those games at home: at Boise State (MWC champs; Las Vegas Bowl); Florida Atlantic (C-USA champs; Boca Raton Bowl champs); Appalachian State (SBC champs; New Orleans Bowl champs); Louisiana (SBC runner-up; LendingTree Bowl champs); and at Georgia State (Arizona Bowl).
2020 Season Tickets
2020 Eagle Football Season Ticket Renewals and Pre-Orders are expected to go live before the end of January. The renewal deadline for 2019 season ticket holders to renew for the 2020 season will be Tuesday, March 31. Any tickets and/or parking not renewed by the March 31 renewal deadline will be released. The Eagles are slated to begin the spring session on Tuesday, March 3 and practice seven times before adjourning for the school's Spring Break. The team will return for its final eight practices starting on March 24.
The 2020 schedule is expected to be released by the Sun Belt Conference in late February/early March this year, but four dates are already known:
Sept. 5 - at Boise State
Sept. 12 - home vs. Campbell
Sept. 19 - home vs. Florida Atlantic
