Eagles move into game preparations

STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern football team was given the day off Monday as classes began at Georgia Southern on #TrueBlueMonday. The team moves from preseason camp to game preparation for the Aug. 31 opener at No. 6 LSU.
The team held its final full scrimmage on Saturday and a bried special teams practice Sunday morning before gathering for the student-athlete convocation and Splash In the Boro welcome-back event.
In today's coaching interview, GSEagles.com caught up with quarterbacks coach/offensive coordinator Bob DeBesse to get his thoughts on his group.
The team will return to the field on Tuesday with a 4:50 p.m. practice at Allen E. Paulson Stadium. On Friday night, the team will head to Savannah for a practice at Memorial Stadium, site of the team's first official NCAA game in 1984. Read and watch more on this special event.
