FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Steven Fisk fired a 68, the third-lowest round of the tournament, to lead the Georgia Southern men's golf team in the second round of the NCAA Championship Finals Saturday at The Blessings Golf Club.
The Eagles played their final four holes of the day a combined 4-under. Georgia Southern sits in 22nd place, six strokes out of 15th. The top-15 teams and nine individuals not on those teams after three rounds advance to a fourth round of stroke play Monday.
Fisk moved into a tie for ninth on the individual leaderboard at even par for the tournament. The senior birdied holes 2 and 6 to shoot 1-under on the front nine. He added four birdies on the back – at 10, 13, 15 and 18 – to shoot 33 on the side.
Brett Barron played his first eight holes and last eight holes of the day 1-under to shoot a 73.
