STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Men's Tennis came out on top of the duel of two Eagles today in Wallis Tennis Center. Our Eagles took on the Winthrop Eagles at home winning the match, 5-2.
The Blue and White came out early and took the doubles point from Winthrop, advancing to 1-0 before singles. Murphy McCullough and Antonio Muniz took their match against Aditya Gokhale, and Alberto Tinagli, 6-4. Carlos Garcia and Pascal Wagemaker sealed in the doubles point for the Eagles, winning their match against Gabriel Dias and Leandros Pappayiannias, 6-4.
The Eagles moved on to singles ahead of Winthrop with high hopes of winning. Di Aloy, Finkelstein, McCullough and Suarez all won their matches allowing for the Blue and White to advanced to 5-2, taking the match against the Winthrop Eagles.
