ARLINGTON, Texas – Quan Jackson tallied 21 points, seven rebounds and three assists, and Georgia Southern held UTA to 31 percent shooting in the second half to earn a 77-64 Sun Belt men's basketball victory over the Mavericks Saturday afternoon in the College Park Center.

Isaiah Crawly made 7 of his 10 shots and tallied 15 points and six rebounds, and
Elijah McCadden came off the bench to chip in a career high 12 points and five rebounds.

Georgia Southern (9-6, 1-1) scored seven straight points in a minute of game time, and
Calvin Wishart's triple from the corner gave the Eagles a 53-43 lead with 11:04 left in the game. UTA (4-11, 0-2) missed 5 of 6 shots during the stretch and 4 of 5 from long distance.
The Eagles pushed the advantage to 17 points on a
Tookie Brown driving layup with 2:14 to play, and David Lee Jones Jr. made eight straight free throws inside the last 1:46 to seal the win. Jones Jr. finished with 11 points, four assists and a pair of steals.

It was the Eagles' first win in the College Park Center, the only building in the Sun Belt GS had not won in before today. GS held UTA to 10 of 32 from the floor and 1 of 13 from long distance in the second half.
