Eagle Football and Ford Motor Company To Honor Teachers

STATESBORO - Georgia Southern University and your Local Ford Dealers are partnering to celebrate teachers this football season with a "Ford Teacher of the Game" campaign including a teacher recognition each home game and discounted tickets for teachers and school employees for the Teacher Appreciation Game on Oct. 6.
During each home game, a teacher will be recognized on-field as the Ford Teacher of the Game. 2018-2019 teachers of the year in schools within Georgia Southern College of Education's service area who are alumni of the University (or Armstrong State University) will automatically be entered to win the one of the six home game recognitions including four complimentary tickets for the teacher and 100 backpacks courtesy of Ford for the school. Winning teachers will be drawn at random each week and notified prior to the game.
"It is important to recognize the dedication and hard work that teachers give every day in the classroom to educating our youth," said Tim Redding of Metter Ford, who represents the Southeast Ford Dealers Advertising Fund. "We want our teachers to feel appreciated and enjoy an Eagle football game with their family."
The Teacher Appreciation Football game will be held in conjunction with homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 6 when the Eagles take on South Alabama. Discounted tickets will be available to all teachers and school employees by entering the promotional code "FordTeachers" when purchasing tickets on GSEagles.com/Tickets. Using the code, teachers can choose to buy $17-20 tickets for up to 50 percent discount.
To redeem the promotional code, teachers can visit GSEagles.com/Tickets and enter the promo code "FordTeachers" (in the top right hand corner) and select "go." The website will reroute to Teacher Appreciation Day ticket options. Click "find tickets," and select the section and seats preferred.
