
Seniors Honored Against Wilmington

Eagles drop senior day match 5-2 and await their conference tournament seeding
STATESBORO, Ga. – On Friday afternoon seniors Artemie Amari and Eddie Landin were honored for their hard work on and off the court the past few seasons. The two were awarded with posters signed by the team in a short presentation between doubles and singles play against UNC Wilmington. The Seahawks would defeat the Eagles 5-2 to take their fourth win over Sun Belt opponents this season.
The Eagles concluded the season with a 13-11 record and now await their seeding for the Sun Belt Conference tournament. The Blue and White took two points from the Seahawks today with Stefano Di Aloy winning a three set match on court one after dropping the first set 6-7 in a tiebreaker. Murphy McCullough added to the action when he defeated his opponent on court five 6-4, 6-0 in straight sets.
The Blue and White will have the next few weeks off to rest and recover, before returning to action in Peachtree City, Georgia. The Sun Belt Conference Tournament was moved from New Orleans, Louisiana to Peachtree City, Georgia this season. The Eagles will look to build on last season's semifinal defeat and make a push in the upcoming tournament.
