Men's Tennis extends their winning streak to three, sweeping the Saturday matches
STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern men's tennis team extended their winning streak to three matches Saturday, defeating Presbyterian 6-1 and ABAC 4-1. The Eagles only gave up two points all day and will host two more matches tomorrow to conclude the short four match home stand. The Eagles will be back on the road for two matches, before returning home to host Lipscomb March 15, at 11:00 a.m.
PRESBYTERIAN
The Eagles started the day off hot sweeping doubles play and earning a quick point. The victories on courts one and two helped guide the momentum for the rest of the afternoon. Pascal Wagemaker continued to impress in his freshman season, winning in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 and improving to 5-3 on the year. Eddie Landin added to the scoring winning in three sets and improving his streak to three in a row.
Stefano Di Aloy clinched the match for the Eagles defeating his opponent in straight sets 7-6, 6-2. Artemie Amari and Diego Finkelstein added to the scoring with straight set victories to cap off a 6-1 victory at home in the morning match. The Eagles extended their winning streak over Presbyterian to 10 in a row.

The Blue and White had their morning success carry over into the afternoon match. The Eagles began the afternoon match with a quick doubles point, winning 6-1 on courts one and two. The guys used that momentum to bring home a 4-1 victory and extended their winning streak to three. Santiago Suarez, Pascal Wagemaker, and Murphy McCullough all notched victories in the match against ABAC. Wagemaker picked up his second win of the day and pushed his win total to six on the season.
