SCORECARD

USAFA, Colo. - Courtney Weekley set a new school record in smallbore and career highs in aggregate and air rifle as the Georgia Southern rifle squad wrapped up a weekend in the Rocky Mountains with a quad match against No. 2 Air Force, No. 6 TCU and No. 11 Ohio State.  The trip was made possible by the generous donations from fans and donors.

Weekley started the day with a blistering 582 in smallbore, breaking the school record by five points. She then posted career highs in aggregate (1,173) and air rifle (591). Senior Rosemary Kramer had another big day, posting the third-best aggregate in program history (1,165), fourth-best air rifle in program history (593) and the seventh-best small bore in program history.

As a team, the Eagles posted their third-best aggregate score of the season and will look to keep the momentum going in the new year.

Words From Coach Worman:
"This weekend was a marathon. After two rigorous days of competition at Winter Airgun, we capped off our trip with an NCAA match that included both smallbore and air rifle. The team has been amazing. We've had to manage rest, nutrition, hydration, strength, stamina, oxygen [because of the altitude of Colorado Springs] and studying for finals with elite precision ... and then go on the line and shoot with elite precision. I'm very proud of their discipline and performances. Thanks again to all of our fans, supporters and donors who made this incredible trip a reality!"
