NASSAU, Bahamas – Tookie Brown tallied 21 points and five assists, and Georgia Southern shot 59 percent in an 88-78 comeback victory over Pepperdine Saturday night in the Islands of the Bahamas Showcase semifinals in Kendal Isaacs National Gymnasium.

Eagles of the Game
Ike Smith posted 16 points, six rebounds, two assists and a block, and Calvin Wishart chipped in 14 points, three assists and two rebounds off the bench.

Key moment
Georgia Southern (4-0) trailed by 11 points with just over 13 minutes to play when Brown's fastbreak layup ignited an 18-2 run for the Eagles. Brown scored six points during the stretch, David-Lee Jones Jr. added five, Montae Glenn netted four and Wishart hit his first career 3-pointer. After Pepperdine (2-2) scored a basket, Wishart made a free throw, and Smith netted a triple to give GS a seven-point cushion with 7:31 remaining. The Eagles forced six turnovers during the run.

Stat of the Game
GS shot 58.8 percent from the field, their fourth consecutive game shooting over 50 percent. The Eagles also outscored the Waves 21-13 from the free-throw line.

Next up
The Eagles play Montana Sunday in the championship game of the Islands of the Bahamas Showcase. It's the second straight season that GS has advanced to a championship contest of an in-season tourney, and the Eagles are looking to claim their first title since winning the Islander Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas, in 2003.
