STATESBORO, Ga. - The women's soccer program at Georgia Southern University is nothing short of successful.

With the most women's soccer team members in the conference on the Sun Belt Commissioner's list for having a 3.5 GPA or higher and the first postseason appearance since 2012, the team is excelling in the classroom and on the field.

To keep up the momentum going, the women's soccer program has launched a crowdfunding campaign to benefit their program for years to come.

The crowdfunding campaign will be active until Friday, February 23, 2018, giving women's soccer only four weeks left to reach their goal of $5,726.  

The finish line is right around the corner and the team believes they can achieve it with the help of Georgia Southern University alumni and friends. Contributions to the women's soccer program will support facility upgrades in the locker room and for a shed to limit money spent on equipment as well as impacting recruiting efforts and team morale.

"Our locker room is an important aspect of the women's soccer program. Our student-athletes to have an adequate place to prepare for their rigorous day-to-day activities. The current locker room is unfortunately outdated and ill-equipped to handle what our team utilizes it for on a daily basis," said head coach Brian Dunleavy.
