Hot Ash Cans Now Provided For Tailgating

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Football is coming back to Paulson Stadium this Wednesday and so is a new way to dispose of hot ashes and coal.
Beginning this football season, Georgia Southern will offer disposal sites for hot ashes. The cans will be a safe alternative to a previous fire hazard. These cans will be painted blue and labeled as "Hot Coal/Ash Cans."
They will be placed strategically throughout the Georgia Southern campus so that they can be utilized in several popular tailgating areas. There will be cans available at the Ceramics and Sculpture Parking Lot, MC Anderson Pavilion, Nessmith-Lane Parking Lot, Paulson Stadium, and the RAC Parking Lot.
To ensure that our campus and stadium continue to be clean, safe environments, please use these cans to dispose of any hot ashes. No other materials should be thrown into the cans as they could create a potential fire hazard.
Georgia Southern hosts Arkansas State this Wednesday at 8 p.m. in a nationally televised game on ESPN2. Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-800-GSU-WINS or by going to GSEagles.com/Tickets.
