Eagles to Wear Special Sticker Saturday

Game marks annual Military Appreciation Day at Georgia Southern
STATESBORO, Ga. - Members of the Georgia Southern ROTC attended football practice Thursday evening to speak to the team and to unveil a special sticker the team will wear on its helmets this Saturday. The Eagles will be sporting a "Department of Defense" sticker on each helmet in recognition of Military Appreciation Day.
Maj. Erik Kjonnerod of the Eagle Battalion gave a passionate and fiery speech to the team, imploring them to take care of business on Saturday. He showed the team the helmet stickers and told the team the D.O.D. sticker represents the largest employer in the world as 2.4 million servicemen and civilians are charged with protecting our great nation.
Georgia Southern and The Citadel will kick off at 6 p.m. on Saturday inside Paulson Stadium in a game that will be broadcast online by ESPN. The game is close to a sellout.
Fans can purchase tickets and select their seats online, by calling 1-800-GSU-WINS or by visiting the ticket office in the Cowart Building adjacent to Paulson Stadium (203 Lanier Drive). Ticket office hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
