Athletics Marketing Welcomes New Students to Eagle Nation at SOAR

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Athletics Marketing Office and GUS will attend all the SOAR sessions for new students to welcome the newcomers to Georgia Southern and Eagle Nation.
The marketing office and GUS are distributing 2015 football schedules and encouraging new students to join the Student Eagle Club. About 52 incoming freshman joined the club at the SOAR (Southern's Orientation, Advisement, and Registration) sessions Monday and Tuesday.
All students are required to attend a SOAR session during the summer prior to enrolling in classes for the fall term. SOAR sessions are led by current Georgia Southern students, and incoming students get an opportunity to sit down with their academic advisors and register for classes. The next session is this Thursday and Friday, and they run through the middle of July.
