
Georgia Southern Paces Sun Belt in APR

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern Eagles led all Sun Belt Conference schools with 9 perfect single-year APR scores for the 2013-14 academic year. The rest of the league as a whole combined for 13 perfect single-year scores.
The Eagles also had seven teams post multi-year averages above the NCAA average.
Georgia Southern posted perfect APR scores in over 50% of their 16 sports for the 2013-14 year.
On the men's side, Men's Golf and Men's Soccer both tallied perfect 1,000 point scores for the year and both posted multi-year averages above the NCAA average.
Seven women's teams posted perfect scores, including Softball, Women's Basketball, Cross Country, Women's Soccer, Swimming and Diving, Volleyball and Rifle.
Of those seven, five posted multi-year averages above the NCAA average. Volleyball and Softball posted near perfect APR multi-year averages of 995 and 994, respectively. The other sports to best the NCAA average were Women's Basketball, Swimming and Diving and Women's Tennis.
