"Eagles Soar For the Cure" at 2015 Relay for Life

STATESBORO, Ga.- Georgia Southern Athletics participated in the annual American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event on Friday evening at Paulson Stadium. Georgia Southern Athletics or "Eagles Soar for the Cure" was one of 31 teams participating in the event.
"Eagles Soar for the Cure" raised over $1,201 for the cause. The total donations from Georgia Southern University teams added up to over $26,960.
Relay for Life is a life-changing event that brings together more than 3.5 million people to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember the loved ones lost to the disease, to raise awareness to those who do not know and to "Fight Back" the awful disease. Through Relay for Life and its volunteers, the American Cancer Society helps to save 400 lives a day.
