STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern football will open spring practice on Wednesday, March 25 and will host the annual Blue-White Spring Game on Saturday, April 18.
The Eagles won the Sun Belt Conference Championship in their first season in the league and will look to defend their title this fall. Preparation for the title defense starts after spring break.
Kickoff for the 2015 Blue-White Spring Game has been set for 1 p.m. Honorary Coaches Dr. Brooks A. Keel and Leonard Bevill will assist in coaching the two teams.
The spring game will once again feature the Tailgate Cook-Off. The Cook-Off will pit some of the top Georgia Southern tailgaters against each other prior to the game. Information on how to enter and pricing details will be announced at a later date.
Practice will be held every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from March 25-April 18. The 15 practice sessions will allow the Georgia Southern coaching staff and student-athletes to prepare for the 2015 football season.
GS opens the 2015 season at West Virginia on Sept. 5 and will host Western Michigan, one of four 2014 bowl teams on the schedule, on Sept. 12.
