Sports Zone Saturday Set For February 7 at Statesboro Mall

STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern athletics will help hold the Sports Zone Saturday, Feb. 7, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Statesboro Mall.
The Sports Zone is designed for kids to interact with Georgia Southern student-athletes as well as register for spring sports and activities with the Statesboro-Bulloch Parks and Recreation Department.
The spring sports offered include baseball, softball, soccer, tumbling, golf, tennis, horseback riding and swimming. Members of the Georgia Southern swimming and diving, track and field, men's soccer and women's soccer teams will be on hand to play games and sign autographs.
There will be several activities and games that kids can enjoy throughout the Sports Zone, including video games, a moon bounce, courtesy of Crazy Nick's Inflatables, drawing FlatGus and many more. Hibbett Sports will also be on hand to provide some fun activities.
Later in the afternoon, the Eagle basketball teams play host to ULM in a doubleheader in Hanner Fieldhouse. It's Pack the House in Pink, and event designed to raise awareness about breast cancer and to aid in the fight against the disease.
