STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern football will travel to play Clemson in a non-conference game in 2018. The Eagles have previously announced a home-and-home series with Kent State and will travel to the Golden Flashes that season as well.
"I am excited about the opportunity for Georgia Southern to compete against a program like Clemson. Death Valley should be a great environment for our fans to enjoy and a great opportunity for our program," said Athletics Director Tom Kleinein.
The Eagles have a full-slate of non-conference games scheduled for 2015 and 2016 and will travel to LSU in 2017.
GS will open the 2015 season at West Virginia and will host Western Michigan and The Citadel at Allen E. Paulson Stadium as well as travel to Georgia on Nov. 21.
The Eagles went 8-0 in the Sun Belt Conference in its first season at the FBS level and will be bowl eligible this season. Season tickets are on sale now and can be ordered by calling 1-800-GSU-WINS, online at gseagles.com/tickets or emailing the ticket office at tickets@georgiasouthern.edu.
Georgia Southern Athletics provides up-to-date information on all its sports through its official website, GSEagles.com, through social media channels facebook.com/GSAthletics and twitter.com/GSAthletics, and its new "Eagles GATA" mobile app for Android and iOS.
