STATESBORO, Ga. – Two new fun areas geared towards children and family fun will make their debut at Paulson Stadium this season.
The Field of Dreams is a turf field located behind the goal post below the new Football Operations Center and is open to all children ages 12-and-under to run around and play flag football. The area will be monitored by Argus Security staff as well as volunteers from the athletics department to ensure kids' safety. Flag football belts will be provided, and EMS will be located close to the Field of Dreams. Children ages 3-and-under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Also available to Junior Eagle Club (JEC) members is the Eagle Fun Zone, which will be located in front of the Bishop Fieldhouse grand stands, between the football field and the building. The Eagle Fun Zone is a place where JEC members can be dropped off to play under the supervision of volunteers and Georgia Southern Athletics staff. Parents can rest assured knowing their kids are being watched and can enjoy the football game while their children get to enjoy inflatables and interactive games in the Eagle Fun Zone. All JEC members who enter the Eagle Fun Zone must have a parent or guardian check them in at a registration table, located to the left of Bishop Fieldhouse as you face the building from the 50-yard line.
Both the Field of Dreams and the Eagle Fun Zone will open each game when the gates open and shut down immediately after the game ends.
"Game day at Paulson Stadium is the place to be this fall," said Associate Athletics Director Gleen Hart. "We are excited to announce these new interactive areas and provide a great game-day experience for fans of all ages."
The JEC, sponsored by Crazy Nick's Inflatables, Verizon and The Clubhouse, is open to children ages 12-and-under. In addition to being able to enjoy the Eagle Fun Zone on Football Game Days, JEC members get free admission to select Georgia Southern athletics events, a JEC t-shirt and drawstring backpack, access to exclusive events and meet and greet autograph sessions with GSU student-athletes.
Parents can sign their kids up for the JEC by going online to gseagles.com/jec.
