Day One Kicks Off Fall Semester

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern University kicked off the fall semester with the annual Day One event at Allen E. Paulson Stadium Monday evening.
Students were greeted by "Voice of the Eagles" Chris Blair and heard from speakers including Dr. Brooks Keel, Athletic Director Tom Kleinlein, football student-athlete Edwin Jackson and Head Football Coach Willie Fritz.
Dr. Keel shared his excitement for the upcoming season, thanked the students for helping pay for the expansion of Paulson Stadium and provided his own rendition of "All I Do is Win."
Jackson along with the Southern Pride Marching Band and the University Cheerleaders helped teach students the cheers and traditions of GSU, while Fritz shared his excitement for his first season at the helm of the storied program. Kleinlein helped cap off the event by sharing the many definitions of GATA.
