Kickoff Times for Thursday Night ESPNU Games Set for 7:30 p.m. ET

Network places Eagles in prime time for Sun Belt Conference mid-week games

BRISTOL, Conn. -- Kickoff times for Georgia Southern's two Thursday night games on ESPNU have been announced with both games set for 7:30 p.m. ET starts. Both the Eagles' Sun Belt Conference home opener vs. Appalachian State on Sept. 25th and October 30th contest vs. Troy place Georgia Southern on the national network during prime time.
The network has also opted to exclusively distribute Georgia Southern's September 6th home opener in the newly expanded Paulson Stadium digitally on ESPN3, accessible online at WatchESPN.com and on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast (via the WatchESPN app), Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Kickoff will remain at its originally scheduled 6 p.m. ET time.
Broadcast times were announced Tuesday by ESPN and the Sun Belt Conference for the mid-week games and network scheduling for contests scheduled during the first three weeks of the season. Additional games may be added at a later date.
Georgia Southern games televised on ESPNU will be available in 150 million homes nationwide delivered via cable, satellite and video provider systems. Both ESPNU games also will be accessible on digital platforms via on WatchEspn through an affiliated video provider.
Additional broadcast information and channels will be provided closer to the individual gamedays.
