STATESBORO, Ga. – Ryan Longoria, a 6-3, 200-lb. wide receiver from Cathedral City, Calif., has signed a National Letter of Intent to enroll at Georgia Southern University and play for the Eagles. The sophomore was an integral part of Fullerton College's Southern California Football Association (SCFA) championship in 2013, scoring a critical touchdown in the Hornets' comeback victory in the SCFA title game.
The longest touchdown reception of Longoria's career couldn't have come at a better time as Fullerton rallied with a three-play, 74-yard scoring drive that ended with his 71-yard reception. He finished the game with four catches for a game-high 140 yards. Fullerton, under Coach Tim Byrnes, finished its season 12-1 with a perfect 6-0 mark in the National Southern Conference Standings.

He had seven touchdowns on 51 receptions. In that first meeting between the Hornets and Tigers, Longoria pulled in a two touchdown passes, the first a go-ahead score early in the fourth quarter. For the game-winner, an 18-yard catch with only 26 seconds left in the contest, Longoria stretched across the goal line with a Riverside defender clinging to him. He was named the SCFA Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
Longoria's acrobatic catches also came in the clutch as Fullerton completed an epic comeback to defeat Saddleback. He scored with a 22-yard reception at the beginning of the fourth quarter to contribute. He finished his sophomore year ranked in the SCFA top 20 in both yards per game and yards per catch and garnered All-SCFA second team honors.
