Student Government Association to Host Pep Rally Wednesday

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern Student Government Association is hosting a pep rally, celebrating the achievements of Eagle athletics programs, Wednesday, Dec. 10, at noon in front of the University Store.
Georgia Southern University President Dr. Brooks Keel, Statesboro mayor Jan Moore and members of the department of athletics and student-athletes as well as members of Southern Pride and the Georgia Southern cheerleaders will be in attendance.
"Eagle Athletics has had a phenomenal year, and we want to celebrate its achievements, especially our Sun Belt champs, the football team," said Student Government Association President Azell Francis. "We are hoping Georgia Southern students who are available can take a 30-minute break from the frenzy that is Finals week to celebrate with members of our community."
