The Eagles travel to Navy this weekend as the two teams meet for just the second-time ever. Even though, technically, Georgia Southern doesn't appear in the NCAA statistical rankings, the Eagles (1st at 386.5 ypg) and Midshipmen (2nd at 350.44) have the top two rushing averages in the FBS. The rushing figures will be ones to watch with kickoff at 3:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network Saturday, but here are a handful of other key stats for Georgia Southern.

Sacks allowed per game by the Eagles' veteran offensive line in 2014, the lowest per-game average in the country, allowing only four sacks through 10 games for only 22 yards. Only Duke, also with four sacks, in nine games to date, has given up fewer yards (21).

The seven-game current win streak by Georgia Southern is tied with Ohio State for the fifth-longest win streak in the nation. The seven consecutive wins in the Sun Belt Conference tie the Eagles with Mississippi State for the second-longest conference win streaks behind Florida State (19).

Georgia Southern's eight wins in its first year as a member of the Sun Belt Conference tie the mark for most by a team in its inaugural year. Troy went 7-5 in its first year in the league and Middle Tennessee was 8-3 in the Sun Belt's initial year of existence in 2001. The Eagles' 7-0 start in league play is the best for a team in its inaugural season.

The Eagles have been successful so far this year with a +10 margin for the year (19 takeaways, including 13 interceptions and 9 lost) and a +1 average per game. In Fritz's head coaching career, his teams have won more than 90 percent of their games when they are +1 in turnover margin.

The 20 combined points in the 2010 meeting between the two institutions was the lowest scoring output for either Georgia Southern (7) or Navy (13) that year. The Midshipmen lost a 14-6 game at Air Force that season and since that game, have been held to less than 13 points only six times since.

John Silver, Assistant Sports Editor for the Manchester Journal Inquirer in Connecticut, voted Georgia Southern 25th in his Week 12 Associated Press poll, giving the Eagles one vote. This is the second time Georgia Southern has received a vote in the AP poll, first as an FBS member. The first time was November 13, 2011.
