Football Signing Day Events Set for February 5th

Coach Fritz to welcome his first Eagle signing class
STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern fans and alumni are invited to attend a special signing day event on Wednesday, February 5th at Bishop Field House as new Eagle Head Football Coach Willie Fritz will review his first class of Eagle signees. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the program begins at 6 p.m. with a welcome and introduction from Director of Athletics Tom Kleinlein. Coach Fritz will introduce his coaching staff and each assistant coach will present a highlight video and speak about the newest members of the Eagle Nation.
The Bishop Field House location offers plenty of parking for those attending the event as well as a perfect view of the progress of both the Paulson Stadium seating expansion and Football Operations Center construction. Fans are encouraged to arrive when doors open to enjoy free refreshments and sign up for door prizes before the start of the evening's presentation.
Representatives from the Georgia Southern Athletics Ticket Office will be available to answer questions about Football season tickets for the upcoming season and assist anyone who would like to renew or make a new purchase. A list of seating options for 2014 is available here. Season ticket holders who have already committed to renew for next season, or who have purchased new tickets, may pick up their commemorative posters at this event as well.
Following the program at Bishop Field House, Eagle fans and alumni are invited to join Coach Fritz and his staff at Locos Grill and Pub in Statesboro for a meet and greet reception. Locos is located at 91 Briarwood Road near the intersection of Fair Road/Hwy. 67 and Veterans Memorial Parkway (Hwy. 301 Bypass). The informal event at Locos begins at 7:30 p.m.
