Football walk-on tryouts scheduled for Aug. 19

STATESBORO, Ga. – Walk-on tryouts for the Georgia Southern Football team will be held on Monday, August 19th at 4 p.m. at the practice fields located on Tillman Road between Ga. Hwy. 67 (Fair Road) and U.S. Hwy. 301 (South Main Street). T-shirt, shorts and cleats are necessary apparel for tryouts.
Candidates must be full-time Georgia Southern students enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours and present their fall 2013 class schedule confirming their schedules. Other required documents include proof of a physical exam conducted within one year of Monday's tryout date, proof of medical insurance (front and back of a card) and a signed copy of the athletic training assumption of risk form available here (PDF).

Participants must meet NCAA eligibility standards and agree and comply with the Georgia Southern and NCAA drug testing policy.
