Coach Jeff Monken Makes Special Season Ticket Delivery to Local Optometrist

STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Head Football Coach Jeff Monken made a special delivery Tuesday morning, presenting Dr. Horace Deal, a lifelong Georgia Southern fan, with his season tickets for the upcoming 2013 season. The visit took place at Dr. Deal's office in Statesboro, Vision Source, as GUS and the Georgia Southern cheerleaders helped Coach Monken promote True Blue spirit. The Eagle Football team will open the 2013 campaign against Savannah State at Paulson Stadium August 31st at 6 p.m.
"We had a lot of fun doing this today," said Georgia Southern Head Coach Jeff Monken. "I know Dr. Deal and all our fans look forward to the day their season tickets arrive – it's exciting and the sign that the season is about to start."
Deal, a lifelong Georgia Southern fan, has been an Eagle Football ticket holder since he and his wife Caroline returned to Statesboro in 2000. In addition to renewing their season tickets in the south stands this year, Deal also became an inaugural member of the Bishop Club.

Regular business hours are 8:30-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Members of the Athletics Ticket Office staff will be available at "Meet the Eagles" Saturday and "Day One" Monday to assist Eagle fans with purchases or answer questions.
