
Swope and Frye Named to Sports Network Preseason All-America teams

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Sports Network announced its 2013 preseason All-America teams today, July 1st, with junior running back Dominique Swope and junior offensive tackle Garrett Frye representing Georgia Southern on its first and second teams, respectively. Swope became the Eagles' first back-to-back 1,000-yard rusher since Jermaine Austin in 2002-2003, and finished the 2012 season with 1,246 yards and 16 touchdowns. Frye was selected a third team All-American by the Associated Press and The Sports Network last season, helping Georgia Southern to its ninth NCAA rushing title in 2012 with a 399.4 yards per game average.
