Georgia Southern Football Begins Spring Practice Wednesday

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern Football team begins its fourth spring under Head Coach Jeff Monken beginning on Wednesday, March 13th, with the first of two practices this week. Twelve of the 15 NCAA-allotted practices for spring 2013 are scheduled for the fields on the banks of "Beautiful Eagle Creek." The Eagles will cross the bridge to the fields prior to the start of Wednesday's 4 p.m. stretch period and practice.
Sunny, but windy weather is expected over the next two days as the Eagles will don shorts and helmets for these first two practices. Following spring break, Georgia Southern will hold three practices that week and then its first scrimmage on Saturday, March 30th. Spring concludes with the annual Blue-White Game on Saturday, April 13th at 1 p.m. at Paulson Stadium.
All remaining weekday practices will begin after a stretching period at 3:45 p.m. Dates, times and locations are subject to change and may be suddenly impacted by weather conditions. Practices are open to the public, but any filming, recording or photography is limited to members of the media only.
