Football Holds Annual Banquet Saturday

STATESBORO, Ga. - The third-ranked Georgia Southern Football team will honor its seniors and celebrate the 2012 season, which ended with a second-straight Southern Conference title and a third-straight FCS semifinal appearance, at their annual banquet Saturday night at the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center.
Former Eagle Terry Harvin will emcee the banquet which will begin with remarks on the university from President Brooks A. Keel, an update on the athletic department from Athletics Director Tom Kleinlein and thoughts on the 2012 season from Head Coach Jeff Monken.
The Eagles will also hand out the numerous national and Southern Conference honors accrued after a successful 10-4, 6-2 campaign. The night will close with the presentation of the team awards.
The Eagles will also honor their 24 seniors at the banquet including: Jacob Bagley, Patrick Barker, Willie Burden, Blake DeBartola, Russell DeMasi, Dion DuBose, Darius Eubanks, Markus Farmer, Chris Gray, Brandon Lane, A.J. McCray, Zach Reckers, Connell Reddick, Darreion Robinson, Brent Russell, Boyd Sasser, Trevor Shaw, John Stevenson, Tyler Sumner, Brian Wilcher, J.J. Wilcox, Mitch Williford, A.J. Wright, Zach York.
