
Football Opens Final Week of Spring Practice

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern Football team began its final week of preparation for the Blue White game with a 22-period practice on Monday afternoon. The Eagles have two more practices this week before hosting the annual spring game at Allen E. Paulson Stadium on Saturday at 1 p.m.
The first of the final four practices of the spring began with work on the special teams and continued with one-on-one drills in full pads. Following practiced Head Coach Jeff Monken challenged the players to always strive to improve. Georgia Southern also worked on the passing game with the skelly drill and the run game in a similar option drill.
The practiced came to a close with a full team session and saw a number of plays run in a full 11-on-11 setting. The Eagles will return to the practice field tomorrow afternoon at around 4 p.m. and will have one final practice against on Thursday afternoon in shorts.
