Track and Field Heads to Charleston

Statesboro, Ga. - Georgia Southern track and field will continue its outdoor season Friday, traveling to Charleston to run in the Palmetto Classic. The meet will be hosted by conference foes, College of Charleston and The Citadel.
The Eagles will look to improve on an impressive open to the outdoor season, which began at the UNF Spring Break Invitational, March 2-3, in Jacksonville, Fla.
GSU is coming off of four top-ten finishes in Jacksonville, including a first place finish by the 4x400 relay team. Jasmine Billings (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and Taylor Wade (Loganville, Ga.) placed second and ninth, respectively, in the 100 Meter Hurdles, while Sara Hall (Columbia, Mo.) placed eighth in the Shot Put.
The meet begins at 12:30 this afternoon. Complete wrap-up of the days' events to come later today.
