STATESBORO, Ga. - A handful of scouts showed up to work out the Georgia Southern Football teams' graduating seniors at Pro Day on Thursday morning. The seniors started the day in Iron Works showing off their skills at vertical jump, broad jump and the 225 bench press, events all used in the NFL Combine.
The day wrapped up on the grass at Allen E. Paulson Stadium, where the seniors were run through a number of positional drills along with the staples from the combine. The strength and conditioning staff helped the scouts run all of the seniors through the three-cone drill, the 40-yard dash and the shuttle run before they were broken off by position to do individual drills.
Georgia Southern resumes spring practice tomorrow with a 4 p.m. practice and will take the field at Allen E. Paulson Stadium on Saturday for a morning scrimmage.
