Georgia Southern's Billings Named SoCon Athlete of the Week

Statesboro, Ga. - Junior Jasmine Billings (Lawrenceville, Ga.) was named the Southern Conference (SoCon) Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for meets completed March 21-28.
Billings won first place in the 100 Meter Hurdles at the FSU Relays, setting a personal record of 13.83. The junior also finished 12th in 100 Meter Dash (12.12), and 26th in the 200 Meter (25.50).
"I'm very proud and happy for her," Said Head Coach Marlo Mincey. "She has so many high expectations for herself, and her hard work and consistency will help her get there."
The Eagles will be back in action Friday and Saturday, March 30-31, at the North Florida Invitational.
