Track & Field Wrap Up FSU Relays

Tallahassee, Fla. - Georgia Southern track and field continued to perform well in the final day of the FSU Relays. Saturday proved to be another good day for the Eagles as the outdoor season continued.
Ebony Carter (Rome, Ga.) placed fourth in the 100 Meter Dash running an 11.87. Jasmine Walker (Fairburn, Ga.) tied for ninth (12.10), and Jasmine Billings (Lawrenceville, Ga.) placed 12th (12.12) for the Eagles.
Carter also placed ninth in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 24.61. Following Carter was Walker in 16th (25.10), Kimberly Thomas (Covington, Ga.) in 24th (25.46), Billings in 26th (25.50), Stephanie Hicks (Trenton, N.J.) in 38th (26.65) and JoAnn JaJa Benson in 44th (28.67).
The 800 Meter Run saw Kristiana Towns (Decatur, Ga.) place fifth with a time of 2:14.58. Also in the top-ten was Asea Mayfield (Marietta, Ga.) who placed ninth with a time of 2:16.33. Talisha Rice (Stockbridge, Ga.) placed 17th (2:23.62), Raquel Daly (Decatur) placed 19th (2:24.48) and Azura Robillard (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) took 25th (2:25.98) in the event.
Taylor Wade (Loganville, Ga.) took sixth in the 400 Meter Hurdles running a time of 1:02.32. Millicent Brooks-Millender (Douglasville, Ga.) placed 12th in the Triple Jump (11.30) and Brianna Charles (Lithonia, Ga.) placed 16th for the Eagles (10.48).
Sara Hall (Colombia, Mo.) placed tenth in the Shot Put, throwing 12.63. Charnelle Wray (Jamaica, N.Y.) took 15th with a throw of 12.09 and Alexis Jacobs (Columbia, S.C.) placed 16th throwing 12.08.
The 4x400 Relay team also placed fifth on Saturday to continue their impressive season.
The Eagles will be back in action on Monday, March 26, at the Weems Baskin Invitational in Columbia, S.C.
