Statesboro, Ga. - Georgia Southern track and field is heading down to Tallahassee to run in the 33rd FSU Relays Friday and Saturday, March 23-24. The meet will be hosted by Florida State. The Seminoles are ranked eighth in the USTFCCCA NCAA Division I preseason rankings.
The meet will include men's and women's teams from 19 universities, over 100 high schools and Olympic-level unattached competitors.
The Eagles are finding their stride as the outdoor season continues to move along. Georgia Southern is coming off of a fine performance at the Black & Gold Challenge, in Orlando. The Eagles had five top-five finishes in the meet, highlighted by second place finishes by Sara Hall (Columbia, Mo.) in the Shot Put, and Jasmine Billings (Lawrenceville, Ga.) in the 100 Meter Hurdles.
Azura Robillard (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) and Jessica Moss (Vero Beach, Fla.) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the Javelin Throw, and Charnelle Wray (Jamaica, N.Y.) took fifth in the Hammer Throw.
The meet will begin with field events at 9 a.m., and running events will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday. The events will continue Saturday at 10 a.m.
