Track & Field Wraps Up Tiger Paw

Clemson, S.C. – The Eagles finished day two of the Tiger Paw Invitational on Saturday evening. Sara Curry (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and Sara Hall (Colombia, Mo.) lead GSU with top-ten finishes in the 3000 Meter and Shot Put, respectively. Curry placed tenth in the 3000 Meter with a time of 10:37.56. Hall finished tenth in the Shot Put with a throw of 12.57. The Shot Put also saw Alexis Jacobs (Colombia, S.C) finish 19th and Charnelle Wray (Jamaica, N.Y) 25th with throws of 11.63 and 10.97 respectively.
Millicent Brooks-Millender (Douglasville, Ga.) took 15th in the Triple Jump with a score of 10.70 finishing the field events for the day.
Talisha Rice (Stockbridge, Ga.) finished the 800 in 24th (2:26.03) followed by Azura Robillard (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) in 26th (2:26.89). In the 400, Cherrelle King (Elmont, N.Y.) placed 17th (59.64) and Kimberly Thomas (Covington, Ga.) took 18th (1:00.02).
The 4x400 Relay started the day off with a fourth place finish (3:57.43), continuing their success this season.
The Eagles will be back on the track in two weeks, when they head to Birmingham for the SoCon Indoor Championships.
