Eagles to Walk to End Alzheimer's Saturday

STATESBORO, Ga. - Members of the Georgia Southern Athletics teams and staff are joining in the fight to end Alzheimer's Saturday. Several Eagles from seven different teams are participating in the walk and 5k run at the Bulloch Academy Track. The event starts at 8 a.m. with the 5k run and the walk begins at 10 a.m.
Alzheimer's is the 6th leading cause of death in America and currently 5.4 million Americans have the disease. Over 200,000 of those people reside in the state of Georgia.
The athletics department has raised over $2,500 in support of the fight to end Alzheimer's. If you want to donate to the cause please visit the walk to end Alzheimer's website.
