One of the true unsung heroes of Georgia Southern athletics... Born August 2, 1924 in Edgemore, South Carolina... Served Georgia Southern in a variety of administrative capacities during his tenure... Known primarily as former Vice President for Business and Finance (1974-86), he also served as interim athletic director for a six-month span during 1975-76... Served the athletic department as a consultant and as chairman of the golf team's Pro-Am Committee... He always understood and supported a strong athletic program at Georgia Southern... His behind-the-scenes advice and support have been significantly instrumental in the current Eagle success... passed away in January 2011.
