
Mora Named Fred Mitchell Award Finalist

CHICAGO - Georgia Southern place kicker Adrian Mora has been named one of the 10 finalists for the 2010 Fred Mitchell Award, which is provided to the Football Championship Subdivision, Division II, Division III or NAIA place kicker who excels on the football field and in the community. The place kicker chosen for this award will be announced by December 15, and he will be honored on February 21, 2011 at the National Football Foundation Chicago Chapter Awards Ceremony at Halas Hall in Lake Forest, Ill.
The junior from Dalton, Ga., has accounted for 87 points this year with 15 field goals and 42 PATs. He is the current Georgia Southern record holder for most consecutive PATs in a career with 92 headed into next weekend's FCS playoff game against Wofford, a streak which includes 42 PATs in 2010. In his three-year career, Mora has scored at least one point in every game in which he has appeared.
