Ticket Donation Campaign Part of Military Appreciation Day

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Athletics has designated its Oct. 30th football game against Samford as "Military Appreciation Day" to honor the women and men who serve our nation in the Armed Forces. In conjunction with other game promotions, Georgia Southern sponsors and fans are donating tickets for military personnel and their families to allow them to attend the Samford game for free. Tickets will be distributed to military personnel throughout the region.
Fans can order tickets through the Georgia Southern Athletics Ticket Office or donate tickets as part of this campaign. When ordering tickets, fans are asked to provide their contact information unless the donation is to remain anonymous. The Athletics Ticket Office in the Cowart Building is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday and three hours prior to kickoff on home game Saturdays. Tickets that may go otherwise go unused for the game should be mailed no later than Friday, October 15th to: Athletics Marketing, P.O. Box 8086, Statesboro, GA 30460.
All requests for placement of the donated tickets to a particular military branch or base will be taken into consideration, but cannot be guaranteed.
Active, non-active, reserve and retired military personnel and their families are eligible to purchase $10 general admission tickets for the October 30th game. Up to four general admission tickets may be purchased at the Athletics Ticket Office or ticket booths on game day with a valid military ID. Internet or phone orders are not eligible for the discount.
