Anthony Named SoCon Field Athlete of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Demetrise Anthony (Manchester, Ga.) was honored by the Southern Conference Thursday. Anthony was named SoCon Field Athlete of the Week for her performance in the Shamrock Invitational last weekend.
Anthony got the Eagles started off on the right foot at the Shamrock Invitational with a first place finish in the long jump. Anthony pulled away from the competition with a mark of 5.88 meters.
Anthony qualified for the 100 meter dash finals on Saturday, with a time of 12.16 and came in ninth in the finals with a time of 12.22.
The Manchester native also finished seventh in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.86.
