Track & Field Finishes the Shamrock Invitational

CONWAY, S.C. - Georgia Southern track & field completed the Shamrock Invitational Saturday.
Demetrise Anthony (Manchester, Ga.) qualified for the 100 meter dash finals with a time of 12.16 and came in ninth in the finals with a time of 12.22. The Manchester native finished seventh in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.86.
Biebele Benson-Jaja (Savannah, Ga.) finished 11th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.61.
Morgan Jefferson (Villa Rica, Ga.) finished 16th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:24.20
Courtney Ware (Indianapolis, Ind.) finished 16th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.49.
Kassi Lee (Elberton, Ga.) finished 10th in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 12:45.35.
The Eagles added another top-10 finish in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 49.31. Georgia Southern finished ninth in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:07.44.
Alexandria Cassagnol (Augusta, Ga.) finished seventh in the High Jump with a jump 1.55 meters.
Track & field returns home to host the Eagle Invitational Saturday at Eagle Field.
