Hyter Named Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Month

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Lynndsey Hyter (Dallas, Texas) was honored by the Southern Conference for her performance during the month of February. Hyter was named the SoCon Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Month Wednesday.
Hyter got the Eagles started off on the right foot at the SoCon Championships when she finished second in the 60 meter hurdles portion of the pentathlon. Hyter also picked up the Eagles' first-event win of the championships winning the pentathlon with a total score of 3551. She earned another event win in the high jump with a mark of 5.97 meters.
Hyter leads the conference in the long jump with a mark of 19'7” at Carolina Invitational. The sophomore also moved into fifth place in the SoCon with a time of 9.10 in the 60-meter hurdles.
Lynndsey Hyter and the rest of the Track & Field team will be back in outdoor action March 28th at the Eagle Invitational.
