Carlos Love

Another former Georgia Southern standout has returned to the Georgia Southern Baseball program. Carlos Love begins his first year as the Director of Baseball Operations. He will be in charge of team travel, all camp activities and day-to-day office duties.
Love was a four-year letterwinner from 2000-03, helping the Eagles make three consecutive NCAA Regional appearances. The Decatur native earned All-SoCon honors at third base his freshman and senior years, while earning a spot on the 2002 SoCon All-Tournament Team at first base.
He finished with 199 hits in 659 at-bats, a career .302 average, with 36 doubles, 15 home runs, 127 runs scored and 109 RBI.
Following his playing career, Love was an assistant coach at his alma mater Dunwoody HS helping the baseball team advance to the 2006 Final Four. For the past three years he has worked in the private business sector.
He received his bachelor's degree in Recreation with an emphasis in Tourism in 2005.
